I just bought two, they seem like pretty kick butt reels. I was curious to see what others had to say about them.

I have the south paw version on a 7' MH Vendeta rod. Love it. It's my trout killer at POC.

Bought one in Sept. Reel tension adjustment would not work. Took it back and got another and had same problem. I would tighten tension knob down and it had no effect at all. Took knob off and checked for missing parts but all were there. Keep it for a couple of months and finally took it back and exchanged it for Johnny Morris and it has been a great reel. Works like it is supposed to.

I just ordered two more from BPS. I have been a Daiwa/ Shimano guy, Abu may have just converted me for good.

Went out today against my better judgement to try and tune my new reels. I am in love, not only are they smooth but it only took me a little bit to get them set up like I wanted. Henceforth getting my butt out of the freezing cold A.S.A.P!

I have 2 on carbonlite 7' MH rods and love them! I found that they won't cast a great distance so I pulled out every other brake pin and now it casts forever.

Thats exactly what I need to do bbq. My Curado's and Citica's launch to the moon. It's so much easier to get to the breaking system on the Shimano. I am lazy I suppose.

Brake pins???? The SX has linear magnetic brakes. Even my older SX has em. Great reels.

I'm probably the weird one here, or I just got a bad one, but I really don't like mine very much. I have to tighten it down a lot just so I can cast it without a backlash and the retrieve is pretty tight as a result. Its been that way since the day I bought it.

Maybe the best reel on the market. STX is good too but maybe not worth the extra cash. The STX might be a little better at casting light-weight baits.

I wish I had a dozen SX's.

I work in fishing at cabelas and the revo sx is one of our top selling reels. People choose the sx over the stx quite frequently. I have an sx that I have been using on the coast and for bass fishing and as long as u oil it and grease it that reel will last a very long time and out perform alot of reels.

I am truly sold, I just went to my local Academy to buy two more and they were sold out, so I just ordered them from Bass Pro. I hate paying shipping but I love these reels. I have now have four Curado E's for sale if anyone is interested.
