Good food, attractive waitresses, small Mexican music band wandering around...place is about half-inside, half-outside....lots of color, plants and flowers, fun atmosphere...

Only able to have the chance to go but twice, but enjoyed it both times. And is better if you have company with you.

If I am ever in shape to get back to San Antonio, I will go back to La Fogata and have a meal.

I ate at Landry's on the river last week and it was pretty good.

Forget Jim's after 2am, Las Palapas is hands down the best 24hr Mexican place on earth, in fact, just eat there one day and get some breakfast tacos, you'll soon realize it's the best fast food Mexican place ever - I prefer the Callahan location, get the dark (roasted) salsa

The place on the river walk with the colorful umbrellas. Within walking distance from the menger..... Ask any local what the name is and what direction. It is very good. And fun.

Go to the Omni la mansion del rio, they have a restaurant there called las canarias. The chef there is John brand. Everything John serves will knock your socks off. 112 college street, about 15ish blocks from your ghost hotel. After that, catch a cab to ricks cabaret on 35 near thousand oaks. You will thank me later.
