Are you drawn to look at it like a moth to a lightbulb?
I've got a couple of customers that have wall-size, highly detailed, maps of the Earth. When I'm there, it's all I can do to get my work done and not stand and study those maps! I'm fascinated by them, epsecially the Earth Maps
I could sit and study a map of Texas, the USA, California, hell, any State in the Union for hours! Oklahoma, not so much (Sorry, Hop)!
This goes for Globes, as well!

my favorite are topo maps, like to study the different terrain

What really gets my blood pumping is the old maps.... the older the better. Old spanish maps of Texas and the area, old pony express routes, old mail routes, etc.
Another one that gets me is topographic maps. I can lose myself staring them for .... longer than I care to admit to. Its amazing how much you can learn from a good map.
