I talked to Tom a few minutes ago and he had just got a call from the hospital and his son had a Heart Attack, I don't know how he is doing but please say a prayer for him and his family!!!

Got him back stabilized. Somehow or another antibiotics slowed his heart too far down when they started taking him off oxygen and the antibiotics.

Update on Keith:  There was a second episode lastnite where they had to shock him again but he came back on the first time. Again it was related to the anitibiotics since they hadnt gone out of his system yet. Tom & I went by the hospital this evening and they have removed his ventilator tube!  He is breathing on his own and is very very tired.  He is nauseous but hasn't eaten in 2 or 3 days other than from his feeding tube.  We didn't stay long as he needs all the rest he can get. He will be on Lasix, fluid pill, from now on to keep the fluid off his heart & out of his lungs. No surgery for now.  He will need to keep his potassium & sodium levels at a minimum.  He will stay tonite & tomorrow not in CCU, possibly move to a regular room Sunday or Monday, maybe go home on Tuesday.  Danielle is very adamant about him NOT going home too soon since she thinks they rushed to get him home last time.  He is sustaining and hopefully with rest he will be home soon.  Thanks to all for thought & prayers,  keep them up so we can get him home!

Another update on Keith:  he is having some irregular heart beats right now so we are waiting to talk to a cardiologist.  Not sure when this will be but prayers are still needed and very welcome

My prayers too.

I can relate, as I finally got tired of being so sick, dry heaves, shortness of breath & felt like my heart had took off running out the door with me left behind, that I went to the emergency room. After getting a little info (1 or 2 minutes or less as I am sure it took me a bit to gather breath to talk). They took my BP & weighed me. Gave me some form to fill out. Sat down & barely got started when they came out, took my BP again. They had me in a bed in less than 20 minutes from when I walked in. BP was well over 220/120 (It was higher but I don't have my notes handy). Had CHF or Congestive Heart Failure Enlarged Heart, Runaway Heartbeat, extremely high BP, Heart Pumping at only 20 to 25% capacity, and many other things. After 5 weeks, we still can't get BP down to their acceptable level. Finally feeling better, because also there was stomach & throat problems which is also more variables into the whole scenario. They kept thinking it was heart related. I told them it was something else, even though I will admit that a bit might be heart related. Anyway, I am slowly recovering & feeling better. Finally looking at Acid Reflux (which is not what you normally think of) & another angle. Seems a natural treatment of apple cider vinegar diluted with water seems to be helping the stomach & throat problems. If I can get that problem resolved, then I can get the heart bit under better control & speed up the recovery.

If he is allergic to a certain antibiotic, hopefully they can isolate which one & keep it out of his system. Anyway wishing a speedy recovery & better fishing days ahead!
