I am using Seguar Red Label. I spooled all my reels about three weeks ago but had to back out of my fishing trip. Now my line has memory in it. Is there away to get the memory out for a fishing trip this weekend? I would hate to throw all that unused line away because of the coils.

tie it off to something or have someone hold the end of it and walk it out like 60-70 yards (or however long you want) and give it a good solid tug (but not too strong, you dont want it to break) and fluorocarbon will straiten out.

Also I'd spray some line and lure on there if its 3 weeks old.

Just spray some KVD or any silicone spray the night before and the memory won't be there in the morning after your first cast.

Ok. Thanks Fishinfellow.

I will give that a try. How often can I do this before I should really respool? I guess what I am asking is how long will line last, stretching it right before each trip, before I should change it?

I've left fluoro on for months at a time and just sprayed it with KVD line conditioner the night before I go and sometimes the morning when I arrive. It usually only takes a few casts to get most of the memory out. There will still be some but it's manageable.
