...to come to my work and break my leg today.
D-day has officially come. I have to meet the kids tomorrow. We're going ice skating. I'm thinking that a broken leg is a sufficient excuse to get me out of it. It's worth the $100 and pain to me to not have to go.
Any takers????

i feel your pain i went with my frends mom to hunt county jail so she could see my friend and i can watch his little brother in the waiting room i dont think he could of been louder and as soon as she came back everything was fine...... i am never doing that again

I've already told him that if his ex becomes a problem or his kids are a pain that I'm out. It's a shame cuz I really like this guy. Oh well. If it works out, it works out. If not, I was happy enuf being single. Don't feel bad. It's a statistical fact that the only thing worse in a potential mate having kids is not being able to hold a job. If you gotta go, you gotta go.

CA, I hope you meet the kids with an open mind and an open heart. You have to look at each individual child and learn to appreciate their personality and find something they can do well. You can be a great teacher. Teach them how to shoot, hunt, use a bow and arrow or a crossbow, how to fish, and other things like your knowledge of wildlife.
Enjoy them but let dad handle all discipline. They will resent you if you try to discipline them.
Kids are smart. They will know if you do not like them and you will not have to say a word. They read adults a lot better and faster than we do. If they know you do not like them, they will make your time around them a living hell.

If this is how you feel, then you should do the kids a favor and end it now. Its not fair to the kids to come into their life then "or his kids are a pain that I'm out.". If you expect that you will be a higher priority in a mans life than his children then you should end the relationship now. The kids don't need the mental baggage that it was their fault that Dad had to break up.
