I live out here on lake lewisville and fish for cats most every day. Never really tried to catch bass or crappie, etc. I went out to the launch this morning to watch the bassers kick off the Open. I have to say, it was quite a sight. Had to be a million dollars worth of equipment out there! It's nice to see my lake getting some love, even if it is just for bass. Haha. Seriously, you guys put on quite a spectacle when it comes to tourneys. Now if I could just buy myself a $70,000 catfishing boat.....

it aint the equipment that catches the fish, but some of them big spenders sure look good trying smile I always love it when the guy with the less expensive custom aluminum boat shows up and takes the prize!!

170 ish boats at low ball number of $30,000 for the boat = 5.1 Million.

I got a few pics, but I've yet to figure out how to upload to the TFF from photo bucket. I use an iPad and don't know if it'll work from here. As for the boats, I always root for the underdogs, too. I'm the guy who bank fishes and will eventually catch the lake record without all the expensive fish finders, etc. However, I wouldn't mind getting a little boat someday so I can become mobile and get into some deeper water. If y'all know someone or hear of anyone selling a little skiff or johnboat or even a canoe, send me a pm. Refund check is in the mail so I'll have a little extra to spend. smile

Now think about how many guys have these expensive boats financed and will never pay them off but move to a new boat and just refinance to get it. And we wonder why our economy sucks. Lol
