Anybody been there lately? We are headed down there next weekend. We will be limited to bank fishing this time. We decided not to take the boat this time, and take the camper instead. Any body had any luck there lately?

Not lately, but if you've never fished there before, PLEASE be careful if you happen to wade in the pass at all . It's probably THE most dangerous place in the area to wade. (and yeah,it's cold too!) I'd fish the back side right now , at first, though.

Have you considered fishing Rollover pass too ?

I just went last Friday ... I caught 4 specks ... all 19 -21 incehs ... caught a few 3-5 inch whiting and a lone 8 inch flounder lol ... i was out there about 5 hours. Definately fish the bay side not the gulf side ... and watch the tide if you drive down to the water and park ... was dry when I showed up and when I left my car was sitting in water. (IT WAS SOLID) However .... scared the [censored] outta me ... if it is brigth outside you will see the little channell that runs about 50 yards off o the beach to the far right .... on bay side ... its about 15 feet deep and 10 yards wide ... caught them on mirrorlures ... and gulp chartreuse with a 1/4 oz jig head .... NEEDED about a 2 oz jig head with the current there ... was crazy !!! anyhow ... MGL ...

We have fished there many times. The current is always bad there, but it one of our favorite places to fish. We usually take our boat, but not this time. The little lady wants to take the camper this time.....I have never fished rollover pass, but I have heard alot ahout it.

If you plan to ever fish Rollover....you had better get on it. It's going to be closed this year if the politicians have their way.

I hope nobody close ROLLOVER PASS...

By the way, I have decided that I can make a trip down there are soon as the weather breaks and warms slightly. Will probably drive down and set up a tent on a Wednesday or Thursday.
