Geographically it's in the panhandle. Culturally it's more West Texas than El Paso which while geographically as far west as Texas gets, is nothing like West Texas culturally.

If it was up your a... you would know where other was. Sorry Ratz had to pull a bubbles on you. It is in the panhandle bit I grew up in west Texas and the panhandle is a west Texas as you can get. The people up here are much nicer and helpful than anywhere I have lived in Texas and I have lived in nearly every region.

Too far north for me. I was born and raised around Mason and Fredericksburg. North Texas was anywhere north of Waco, west Texas was Abilene. Yet people from all over came down to Gillespie county.

or Snyder.

I hated the drive though Snyder when we went to Lubbock from Abilene to visit relatives.

I can't stand to be in Lubbock during cotton ginning season. All that fuzz in the air literally makes me see red fighting allergies.

I'll agree that culture is all West Texas but location is panhandle. To me the people of west Texas and the panhandle are the same, but they are different regions.

Very hard place to live if you like fishing! haha, 500 miles in any direction to a good lake. smile

How is Palo Duro doing? I know it is super low.

My pops works at Gorman and Phillips. My mom and stepdad were chamber of commerce president and judge in Perryton. I'm related to the Schumann's and Swan's in Spearman. Haven't been back in 4 years or so, miss the shooting range and hunting the Courson's land at Wolf creek though frown

I wanna say I met someone at a football game that had a LFM Hat on and said they were your BIL maybe? Palo Duro is very very low, i haven't even been out there to fish and Lake Fryer is just a mud puddle now. I am headed to Fork Easter weekend, I may get with you and get a little report. My BIL is flying in from Massachussettes.

Is this like people who say the metro plex is N. Texas and everything else north of them might as well be in OK? The only other people I've heard with thit logic are db's from boston.

I grew up in Perryton....didn't realize there were any P-town folks on here.

Fishing is awful in the panhandle. Greenbelt is about the only decent lake up there. It was getting pretty low last time I saw it.

I was told you can't even launch a boat. Fished it last year and caught a bunch of dinks.
