I guess I have to give the Dad credit for fighting the lion. Normally they are afraid of adult humans, but a 6 yr old child would be a target.

this going going to sound bad, but how awesome is that! think about all the respect he's going to get from guys and the attention from girls after he tells them, "yeah, i was attacked by a mountain lion and survived." *brushes off his shoulder*

Really. Thank goodness his pocket knife wasn't confiscated by TSA because he forgot he had it in his pocket.

Still, he was pretty brave to attack the lion with the pocket knife. There are a lot of people who would have frozen if this had happened to them.
