I know that BAJ changed ownerships and I haven't heard anything since the change but are they still in business and if so what kind of turn around is everybody getting on their orders?

Thanks
Charlie

I havent talked to them in a few weeks but they were getting close to starting production. They had a few setbacks in timing due to the fires last fall, but should be up and running soon.

I really like the old black angel jigs.
Got a hold of the guy that now owns them back in December. I was about to place a rather large jig order and he never got back with me.
I have tried several other jig brands, but now I am using Santones. She got back with me immediately and I had my order three days later.

A buddy of mine talked to the new owner last week and he said they were hoping to be open by the end of Feb. I'm just hoping it's the same product..., I know that's a stretch with the new ownership. Glad I have 50 left!

That's too bad. Guy obviously made a quality product, just had no idea how to run a business.

I knew Gabe and he was a good guy, just had other things in life going on, newborn, other business, etc.. He made quality stuff and I still have alot of it. I found another company that makes a very similar product. Look up elk river jigs. Good stuff they make and hand tied.

Kathy at Santone goes out of her way to make you happy! I like the fact she is local, always available and makes a good quality product. For swim jigs I am ordering from elk river though because they are exactly like black angels.

I know the owners of Elk River Jigs personaly, Jack and Mickie Hall are super people, that take alot of pride in their bussiness. If you will try their product you won't be diappointed. I just found out a couple weeks ago that Mickie is going through some health issues right now, but they will make sure that you will be taken care of.

Gabe still posts on the forum occasionally. He had an ad for crawfish catering not too long ago.
I like his jigs and hope the new company gets goig soon.

Got to 2nd the Double K Jigs

Klint has developed some awesome jigs, all hand tied wire wrapped, w/rattle keeper if you want to use it. He has designed a new line that we have been stroking them on down here at Falcon. Great stand up head design developed for the timber and rocks. The 3/4 and 1 oz jigs has an awesome bad azz 6/0 hook. We've been attaching a baby or regular paca craw. With the stand up design and the boyancy of the paca craw trailer it has tremendous appeal.

He is working on his web site and getting pics up, I see no way anyone can be dissapointed in these jigs. PM if you need some more info

They are the same as black angels. I use them because that head design on their swim jig is my favorite, not to mention the flipping design as well. Plus hand tied. They are quick on getting orders out as well.

I dont see anywhere in the post above asking for everyone to get on here and plug your favorite company or the company your on staff with. It was a question about Black Angel jigs. Come on guys lets keep things more on topic and a little less about trying to sell product.
