I'm getting tired of people going overboard with the whole catch and release thing. If he caught it in a legal and sporting manner, its his fish to keep. When you catch an 18 lber you can let it go if you want or keep it. Keeping a few every now and then probably helps the population, especially in small lakes like that one.

Rant over, carry on.

Big fish, good for him.

How big is the lake?

I personally choose to catch and release. However, if someone wants to keep fish thats totally up to them.

Apparently from his friends comments, he didn't catch it in "a sporting manner". He scooped up a dead fish and tried to claim he caught it.
