My Motorguide is a freshwater series 24 volt with 71 lbs thrust. I have a transducer for a bird 797 side image. That doesn't leave enough room to mount a hydrowave speaker next to it. Anybody ever strap the hydrowave speaker on top of the motor instead of underneath where transducers go ?

I was afraid I might have this issue.

I have mine mounted on the top of TM, works great, a lot of pros do it that way as well.

Oh good. I didn't want to send it back. Thanks for the pics. I might try to run some AC/DC down there & see what happens. LOL

I have saw them on top but never gave it much thought now I think I will move mine on top there would be less chance of damaging it.

Gene says you can mount them on top. Remember sound can travel multiple directions.

I mounted mine on the bottom because of sound projection.

look at this pic in the post and the modified attachment I made.

The way the speaker is designed it doesn't matter if it's faced up or down.

If I mounted mine like the the one in the pic my transducer would be gone at my first stop.

Don't let that Happen.

I was just showing a pic of different options.

I guess I have been fortunate.
