There is water trickling out of the small hole when its on the muffs. Is this ok. Assumming its doing that because its on the muffs

If I remember you have a V6 Merc. If thats tha case its time for a poppit kit. Something in there it not sealing (usually tha diaphram) causing tha drip........

Is it pausable that it was caused by me not haveing the poppet screwed in all the way? took it a part agian and it wasnt screwed in all the way only had it screwed in half to a third way in

If you mean tha stainless screw inside it might do that. Never run into that type a deal. It uaually leaks around tha diaphram from crude build up around tha edge but there are a few more reasons for tha leak. If it still leaks after a good cleaning and tha screw is good and tight you might as well get a NEW poppet assembly...........

Thanks TLW and stick steering! Took back apart and did it over agian and it quit leaking!
