WTH? Did they get tired of just catching dinks on Fork?

I try to like this show but honestly it sucks. I liked it better when Pack and Dobyns were on there. Jason does a good job in front of the camera but all the corny ribbing gets old after the second episode. I also wish they would quit "Ikeing" every fish. Not every time you set the hook is it a big fish. They need to watch Brauer's Bass Battle and take notes from them.

They fish a few different lakes, its never been just Fork. I enjoy watching Big Bass Battle, yes the smack talk hasnt been quite as entertaining this year but overall I think its still a pretty good show.

Very well said Brant.

Here is my opinion on the show.

It has taken it's course. And here's what I mean. Tom, Rick, and Justin are very good on the show and give alot of helpful info. But all the shows are basically on Fork and have the same format. Almost like re-run after re-run.
LFT has a stable of great pro-staff guys all over the US and Texas. I dont understand why they dont branch out and go to other lakes with other LFT staffers and do shows.

But all in all, it is not the same without Packman and Gary on it.

I am not really sure why they called it the Big Bass Battle as I don't remember seeing a bass over 6 lbs caught and seems like most shows were won with a 4 or 5 lb fish.( I didn't see all the shows and maybe I missed an actual big bass battle)However, they always seemed to catch some nice sand bass and maybe they should have renamed it the Big Sand Bass Battle.Pretty bad when the top guns at Fork try to present this as a real fishing show on the best bass fishing lake in Texas.Maybe they need to move this to one of Bill Dances fishing spots.

As far as this comment how many days do you go out and fish and catch giants??? Its hard to get big fish on camera...they arent under every bush.

But then again, I don't have my own fishing show called Big Bass Battle. I fish mainly on the weekend and I could easily produce a show called 4 or 5 lb fish caught by everyone on a sunday with some 6 or 7 lb. fish thrown in. Jr, you need to have your own fishing show as people would like to see you catch some of those big fish at Ivie.I would watch that show. You don't catch big fish every day but you may have to film more that one day a week to make a show that is worth watching.

I think it is just the format of the show- I thought it was great hearing Mr. Pack saying Mr. Gary was the Sasquatch in the commercials- I didn't expect to see a SAL caught on every episode- And I don't feel like those 6 or 7 lb fish thrown in are quite so plentiful- I know they weren't on the BIG BASS BATTLE anyway-

I wouldn't mind if the ONLY lake they fished was Fork. This is selfish, of course, because I live close enough to fish Fork fairly often and like learning how they attack the lake. It's cool to see spots that you have fished on tv. The smack talk is sad recently, they could do without it and just go fish. I also don't mind that they don't catch a dd every time out. Makes it a true fishing show in my opinion. The show with Pake was the best episode ever. Just sayin.

Yeah I hear you I knew what you were saying. I guess the premise of the show is biggest bass of the day not biggest bass in the lake.

You don't see many shows that hunt the biggest fish in the lake.

I know the show is about plugging their lures but don't throw out the sales pitch on every fish please.

I think the show "sucks", talking smack is getting real old, it's not very informative! My .02!

Pack made that show entertaining and you all right, its not the same without him on it. I wish all the guys that are currently on it all the best, but that was Packs show and it just not the same without him on it IMHO.

I think it would be better if they didnt only throw lft baits. Sometimes other baits would be better.

It has nothing to do with Lake Fork actually.

Its possible that they named the show before they shot it.

I've seen it twice and in the last one, Carter had a half dozen fish in the 6 pound range and won that day with a 7lb 12oz fish. Pretty good day IMO. I found myself trying to figure out what bridge was in the background.

Bring back PACK. That show sucks without him on it.

Pack and Tom Redington are much more inforative. Pack's sense of humor make's the show in my opinion.
