I have one of the older "gold" shimano cardiff 300's. Its still very smooth, but I am contemplating a new set up. How do these compare to something like the h20 mettles?

While im at it... for bass fishing in ponds what do you recommend for a rod length/flex? I usually throw 1/4- 1/2oz cranks or t rigged baits.

Thanks!

Don't do it. That Cardiff is a work horse. Very simular to a Calcutta and an excellent Reel. No Comparison.

Do you guys think the Cardiff is better suited for crankbaits or Trigs?

What line would you run on them?
