Posting here for you guys that have the old style I-pilot remotes. Check your left turn steerring button to see if it has developed a crack or tear. Know of 3 that have had that problem. Mine is on that button on the top edge, if you have tear contact MinnKota for replacement.

How do you know if you have the old style or the new style?

I got one and I assume its the newest one - but don't know,

If you have one that stores three tracks or keeps up with three anchor locks then you have the older one. The newer ones store 6 tracks and anchor lock spots.The way I understand it the new ones have only been on the market for two or three months.

New style Has white on the buttons and is larger in size than the old , also new you can change battery without having to take the remote apart.

Will the new remotes work with the older units?

They send you the top of the remote to switch with yours.

Yessir. Sharc got his new remote fired up Sunday. Both remotes work simultaneously. They will not add to the number of tracks or spots saved to memory though. That's only on the new motors.
