Warning: the following report contains a exciting fishing adventure do not read if you are at work or there is a lightning storm outside! A/T is not liable for injuries you receive from attempting to recreate this adventure...unless you catch then its totally my fault

Kayak wars started today and with all my Florida buddies fishing all night long i figured i should catch something so they wont talk so much trash...

Out the door around 11:30..

Mission was to see if the drum made there way to my spring location yet...

It was SLOW...had a few undersized in between Point worthy Drum (18") ..

caught about 30+ slot drum with only 18 being 16"+ ...

OsoPach showed up and needed some fish for a fry so on the stringer they started to go...

Had a solid fighting drum around 25-27 inches

Also caught a 20.5" trout, no bigguns today =/

The drum havent found there way there yet but it was better numbers then last time (0) so they are making there way these front should be the kick they need...

Now onto the life lesson...

When i drive home i usually drive 55mph even though its 65 because of the wildlife and fear of my kayak flying off my truck...

When i took a curve on the backroads a large group of javelinas shot out in front of my truck...

applied the break but there was NO way of avoiding them ...

started running over them and i lost control my truck spun out put me on two wheels but i managed and was ok... went to check the damage..you can see part of my bumper on the bottom right...

1 was dead, 1 was too injured to get up, and 4 were limping away....

I hate when things like this happen, i felt terrible about it but nothing i could really do....

The reason i bring this up is because you should never take life for granted...it could all be over in a instant so don't waste your time being negative, don't be resentful, angry, or hurtful to others. Live your life helping others and enjoying everything you have because you never know what moment is going to be your last. Life is good =)

Nice fish.

Too bad about the peccaries[javalinas to us Texans]. Good that you survived. Now if it were me, I would have salvaged the meat. Yes, yes, I know they are gamey, but in my mind meat is meat and it would be a shame to waste it. Mixed with venison, it makes a quite passable chili.

But hey! You survived the accident.

Agreed i eat javelina, but with my gear in the back i had no where to put it. The other one that was just injured kept wanting to charge when i tried to get a piece of my bumper back. I also had no clue on what laws are, i know if you pick up a deer you hit youll get fined.
