Just got a 2003 skeeter and need to clean the carpet. It's in good shape (no tears) but it's worn a little and thought I would spruce it up. Never done it before. Thought about power washer but don't want to damage anything.
Appreciate any suggestions!

Wet the carpet and fill a bucket with 1 part vinegar 5 parts water and scrub it in with a hard brush. Treat any dirt spots with Resolve.

I would not use any kind of "soap' product, hot water, vinegar and a brush. Soaps, cleaners will leave a residue that will attract dirt.

Power washing and regular soap and water can destroy the carpet fibers and underlying glue. Use a hand method with vinegar and water, using a not too stiff brush, shop vac it all off and make sure to let it dry good before using or covering the boat.

Also, if you have a choice, opt for darker color carpets. Those light tan carpets look great new but are tough buggers to keep looking like that.
