Portable fishing pole?

Has anyone ever used those 'As Seen On T.V.' portable fishing poles by Ronco? Found them online at wal-mart for $14. Wanted to see if anyone had any experience with these or could recommend a similar product just to carry along for those 'emergency fishing sessions'.

All 23 of my combos are portable..........thats how i get them to the lakes..........
I wouldn't buy one of them junkers......You can carry 1 or 2 6 - 7 foot combos in just about any vehicle at all times........if not get a telescoping rod.......

If you really want a small combo. Look at the little metal rods with the coil by the handle. They seem ok. Emmrod.com

Hilarious. I am referring to something you can stick in your glove compartment and carry around.
On the telescoping rods do you have any suggestions on those.

I have used the Ronco combo's..amazingly they work great. Can't cast as far, but have one in my scooter, and one in my motorcycle, also my car and backpack. Yes they do catch fish, don't cast as far, but do indeed work. Like the one i bought so much, I bought a few original's I got on ebay. Tight Lines!!!!

Finally, a reasonable solution. Or just get a 2 piece 6 foot rod, a small to medium
sized spinning reel, a little tackle box with essentials and called it done.

I bought these for Christmas gifts this past year. They come in both casting and spinning versions ... http://www.cabelas.com/product/Bargain-Cave/Fishing/Rods%7C/pc/105591780/c/105740280/sc/105742080/Cabelas-Graphite-Composite-Telescopic-Rods/702093.uts?WTz_l=SBC%3Bcat105591780%3Bcat105740280%3Bcat105742080

Not sure if its the same Daiwa kit but they have one that has a spinning reel and a flyreel and the multi-piece rod in a compact carrying case smaller than a typical attache case.
