My brother and law and I are going to take a quick weekend trip to the Galveston area. Usually we go to Corpus but have been several times to Galveston. We just cant seem to find any place other than the Seawall jetties. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Also any areas right around Galveston. We will bank fishing only.

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!

Hop on the fairy and go to the North jetty or Roll over pass and you will get some reds, trouts, or whitings.
I go there just about every weekend smile

I like the flats behind San Luis Pass but honestly.. Ehh I'd throw out some crab @ High Island and see if the reds are hungry. Whiting are to be caught but you'd have a better chance outta a head boat this time of the year.

When are you going?

If you are shore fishing... and want big fish.. I'd hit the Texas City Dike for Drum right now... either side of the dike should be good. otherwise.. february is a tough month to fish for reds and trout. Can be epic.. can be dismal. Depends on what you like to do and how you like to fish.
