Hey guys, been in McKinney for a while now and still not too keen on where to go for some Good fishing action. I am originally from East Texas and I can tell you all kinds of places out there, but I need some local action. Any pointers on ponds, lakes, etc. I have noticed there are a lot of neighborhood lakes around, too, so whats the word on those?

I know there is a ton of ponds, just not any decent fish.

If I had some spots, I would fill you in. I'm still trying to get some keeper spots in my area. You will find it difficult here to get people to tell you their spots. Look online for the parks in your area, and cross reference them to the TPWD stocking reports. That should get you started. Good Luck!

There is a map around here somewhere that shows you where to bank fish.

There is a google map in the top of the bank fishing section that shows some pretty good spots around DFW. I've fished at several of them. Most of them are well known though and you have to deal with a lot of fishing pressure, but that does not mean you can't catch anything there. Google maps or Google Earth is a great place to start looking around your area, scout out some possible fishing locations then go check them out. There are also a lot of threads on here about locations to fish as well, just have to search them out. Good luck!
