Thanks to the efforts of Lake Fork Sportsman's Association President Arlan Yaeger and company, the Sabine River Authority has agreed to temporarily waive the no camping rule for all competitors during the Lake Fork Carp & Buffalo Challenge!
The use of brolleys, bivvies and small tents will be permitted throughout the duration of the 44-hr event, not just during nighttime. Please try to avoid using large (10' x 10' or larger) pop-up tents if possible.

It's not about residents' eyesight, it's about the fact that the SRA has made a special dispensation for the event to allow this and it's only right that no one should take the whizz out of that generosity. They're in the business of providing water, not operating a camp site.
Since the teams comprise 2 anglers and optional runner, and the event is 44 hours straight as opposed to day tourneys with camping overnight, a 9x9 shelter should provide more than enough comfort.

Your right,my comments were tasteless attempt at dry humour.Sometimes I type without much thought put into my statements.Hope I did'nt offend too many, I just thought it was humorous that someone with a 10' X 12" tent was out of luck.It really is great that they are allowing camping.

If there were competitors that had nothing else but a 10'x10' pop-up, we're not going to take away their right to a shelter. What we're saying is that if you can avoid using a larger tent in favor of a smaller one, please do so.
