Saw of lot of Carp roaming around my last time, I went prepared.
I had corn, night-crawlers, chicken liver and the powerbaits.
I went there again last Saturday and the water was clear with almost to no wind. So I chummed a lot of corn at my spot and put in my two poles in that area.
After an hour or so I started getting some hits.I got a nice hit on my ultra-light pole with a 6 lb braid. Started reeling in..and just when I could see the fish..(damn she looked good), the line broke off!

After that, it turned out to be really slow and nothing happened!
On my third pole, put in some night-crawlers and twice I had some good hits. But in the end nothing came out. There were a lot of turtles roaming around and I think they were yanking on my baits.
All in all, a good day to stare at your rods ..but nothing else.
Will be going to the Pond at Westheimer Rd behind the Army corp office.
Cheers
