I use Abu 6600's and 6500 and will probably never change but was wondering what yall prefer. Some of my buds use quality spinning reels and can match me in distance. For longest cast what's your go to reel?

Abu 6500!!!With a little tweaking you can easily out cast a spinning reel.

What's the line capacity and drag resistance on an Abu 6500?

All the long cast records are held by Abu-Garcia baitcaster reels!!

I put a whole spool of 30 lb braid on my 6500, I think it's 300 yds but not for sure, it's at least 200. Drag can be set to 15 lbs I believe not sure of resistance. I can easily cast 60 to 80 yards, could cast further if I put say a 3 oz weight on. I don't like useing 3's. Usually use 2's and even 1's if possible.

baitcasters all the way for me. grew up on them and spinning gear just feels wierd in my hands!
