Saw a close out on the XTool culling scale set at West Marine today for $49. Somebody was looking for these recently, think they have been discontinued.

I bought one and it did not hold up well and it isnt very accurate. Three fish in a tow it showed the exact same weight, then checked on a certified scale and there was half a pound difference. Just a heads up.

its okay if its off, just as long as it is consistent.

meaning that if it is a half lb off then it should be that way for every fish that is weighed on it. If not, then there is a problem.

Mine got to where it was NOT consistant and the cull feature quit working. I have one you can have it you pay the postage or come get it!

I don't think they're making the scale or the rings anymore, but if you've already got the scale and need replacement rings check these out...
http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...unt#Post7134771

All of these are built to interface with X Tools scale (utilizing #'s rather than colors) and have stainless steel clips, so they won't rust......Plus there is now a TFF discount!

I caught a four pounder Saturday and my new scale showed it weighed three and a half. But, as someone said, as long as it is consistently off by the same amount on every fish that's the most important thing.
