Yahoo Mail Question

Perhaps someone knows a way.
I am trying to find a way to change the way my yahoo mail works. My computer mouse has a button on the side that takes me to the previous page. I use it almost without thinking about it.
Here's the deal though. When you use it with yahoo mail, rather than take you back to the "inbox" which is how you got to your mail in the first place, it always takes you back to the page BEFORE your yahoo login.
Is there any change I can make that will result in going back to the inbox?
Thanks.

Thanks. Just click on the "Inbox" button when finished reading an email and not the "back" button. Verizon webmail is the same. Web based mail is difffernt than like Outlook on your PC.

Yes Bob, that would work were I smart enough to do that.
However, much like Pavlov's dogs, I have become conditioned to use the back button on the side of my mouse thing.
Since I got to the email via the "inbox", I don't understand why back do not take me back to the inbox, but it does not. It takes me all the way out of yahoo mail.

It is because when you open a new email, it does not open a new browser page, but a new tab inside the original page. The "back" button only works between actual pages, and not tabs...

Even Pavlov's dog could learn new tricks.
