Said it was about a week before the peach buds cracked and a freeze would do us in. Just got out there and was looking over the trees and snapped a couple pictures.  See that little hint of pink right in the middle of the bud? Hard to see in this one too, but its there.  Ready or not, spring has arrived.

Kattelyn since you're one of those horticulturist (no offense) people what should I do about my lemon tree? Right now I have it in the house and it ain't doing nothing. About a month ago it had three blooms come out but they fell off.

Kattelyn since you're one of those horticulturist (no offense) people what should I do about my lemon tree? Right now I have it in the house and it ain't doing nothing. About a month ago it had three blooms come out but they fell off.

there is no spring in Amarillo

I have one peach tree (Loring) that is blooming and another (Ranger) that has not bloomed yet. My plum tree is budding too.

Why does Amarillo get the white stuff yet LBK doesn't! I wouldn't mind seeing a little snow every now and then. Our drivers are bad enough as is. I used to love snow as a kid, since it meant I might get to miss school. Now it just means I have to get to work immediately for severe weather coverage, as every moron thinks they can go over the speed limit because they've got 4x4. Not too long ago when we had the random ice and snow bit, we had over 70 wrecks from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Amarillo can keep that carp.
