The last load of clothes that I washed turned into a mess. The washer and my bedroom sink are on the same drain line and suddenly washer water erupted from my bedroom sink.

Got the mess cleaned up. Tried Drano and one of those drain snakes that attaches to a drill. The snake punches a hole in the clog and I can get the bedroom sink to drain but when I turn on the washer, it backs up again. What I am finding on the end of the snake is basically lint from the washer.

Is there any type of drain cleaner that will dissolve lint? Or just keep repeating the process with the snake and hope to eventually wash the clog on down to a larger pipe?

go to lowes and get one of these in the appropriate size. they work when no other method will.

Just call.....ROTO-ROOTER! They snake out those lines that go all the way to your sewer, cutting roots that may be obstructing water flow!

Life is SHORT!

Now.....GITTER-DONE!!! thumb

Either get that plunger looking thing, call a plumber, or use straight ammonia down the drain and leave it, and the house, for about 8 hours.

We had a similar problem. Might help, might be different...
We took apart our washer and found the problem was actually in the washer. Found TWO socks that were disgusting to say the least. The socks would catch a bunch of crud then a ball of crud would pass and get clogged somewhere else.

Took a few towels, two people and a little time but we got everything cleaned out and everything worked well.

We knew the washer was eating socks!!! Don't know how they got there though???

Solution turned out to be a bigger snake. Took a lot more elbow grease though because the bigger snake was not the motor powered type.

I couldn't use one of those things hop suggested because the clog was beyond the place where the sink and washer drains join together. It would have just backed up into whichever one didn't have it. Maybe I could have used two of them at the same time.

BUT... I GOT'ER DONE!!! banana

Just be glad its lint and not mud which would mean a collapsed pipe.

Quit using powder detergent that could help. While you got that snake take that little thing with all the holes in it off the tub and run that thing down there. Might as well take the traps off the sinks and clean them out too.
