Were trying to plan a camping trip and came across there website, and it seems to be a nice place. It looks like they have tent sites on the water which is something i was looking for along with hiking and biking trails. Does anybody have experiance here or another place on tawakoni?

I've been there once and I got skunked but I know a lot of people have done really well. It was just a bluebird day when I went. Does look like a nice place to camp.

I fish off the rocky point on the west end of the bridge. You can fish all night there. Don't know what your definition of camping is, but I like to rough it and just find a spot to fish, etc. You can catch nice blues, channels and hybrid from there.

Wind point is a decent place and you can catch some fish, especially when the channel cats are spawning

I like Wind Point Park! Went there with my Grandson a couple years ago. We fished down on the "point" and caught a bunch of blues on worms and Danny King's.

Repeated the same good fishing a month later to the right of the point....lots of primitive tent sites in the area. We hauled in blues from 2 to 15 pounds. Also lost a bunch in the stumps that ABOUND in that area.

Good fishing! thumb

Many years ago, when the lake was about this level I caught a 16 pound channel off off the north end of wind point in feb. So close to the record, but it aint horse shoes.

I like that park alot, yes there are plenty of tent sites as well as improved site. As stated above it is an older park with older amenities but they still work well. however they are building new amenities. They do have a small store on the property, they sale ice as well.

nice an quite, as if you are not camping the grounds keeper will run you out at dark/7 pm.

Fishing can be good at times. Lots of wildlife as stated, we counted 23 deer when we were there last time.

boat ramp is not useable at this time. Water too low. not that good of boat ramp anyway its a single.

I think its $20 ish a night same as the state park.

Good luck and go enjoy yourself. I like it!

Got a buddy that won't go anywhere else on T-wok. He told me, 'why go anywhere else when I can catch all I want right there"...and I've never tried it out, but need to!
