The day started off slow, cold, windy, and cloudy but it actually turned out to be a great day the sun came out and so did the fish once I found the right pattern it was lights out the hybrids that were introduced to the lake in 2009 are now undoubtedly thriving for sure! got to put my new johnny morris carbonlite reel and my new kistler rod to the test and boy did they do nothing but impress!! the reel is so light, casts were super smooth and distant, drag was excellent, and was very smooth under pressure of the fish.I was also very impressed with the rod just an awesome setup.
