Just wondering if anyone has experienced towing a bass boat with a Honda Ridgeline. Thinking about getting a Ranger Z118 but not sure if its a good idea to tow it behind the Ridgeline.

Ridgeline tow capacity is 5000# so you should fine.

Is the ridgeline front or rear wheel drive? I'm assuming it's rear...

The Ridgeline is in front wheel drive while cruising then shifts to 70% rear wheel drive if it senses loosing traction. You can also lock in the rear wheel drive up until the truck reaches 18 mph.

I had a neighbor that towed a Ranger 185VS (18.5 ft) with a Ridgeline for a couple of years, didn't seem to have any issues. However, he got an F150 for his next truck.

Yeah, it is not a truck. At least according to Frisco HOAs.

Hay Teague don't worry about it you just buy that boat.

it's going to hail very soon and you know what that means.

I went from a Ford F350 with a 6.0 Diesel to the Ridgeline about 18 months ago. It does not pull the 20ft Skeeter like the Ford but it does fine. You just have to be used to downshifting. I am not too impressed with the mileage while towing. I get 10-11 at 70mph and with a 20 gallon tank it makes for frequent fill-ups. It feels fine at highway speed. The 4X4 does great at the ramp. It never slips at all, even up the wet ramp at Amistad while others are jumping up and down on their bumpers I drive right up without having to make any changes, push any buttons or shift any levers. The automatic all wheel drive system is nice. I have only have 38K on it so far.
