yes they are removable or you can flip them upside down, only thing i wish i would have done different is the angle of the rod holders. Got the idea from a friend. DAVE- I wont be getting wet in the HSC. clap

I like that idea. It looks like that would make it really increase the stability. What material is used to construct the pontoons or floats?

TxRayner- Use Sched. 40 on everything but the pontoons. Thinwall drain pipe for those. This will make it strong yet light. The stalbilizers for sale on ebay required scotty rod holder mounts. That meant drilling holes scared

didnt even see the rod holder the 1st time around. a good buddy put some scotty mounts on his trident 11 with some retractable out riggers. we both thought it put too much pressure/stress while standing on his yak where the mounts attached to the yak. maybe using both flush mounts spreads that stress across both sides????

why yellow & not camo or flat black like the rest of the yak? hope to get to meet ya soon. some of the others here have mentioned you in conversations thumb

FZ- yea no stress but the purpose I kinda had in mind was throwing the cast net. The OK Prowler is a very stable yak but is sketchy if you are doing anything else other than just standing up... I did yellow for high viz (see pic). I am gonna try my hardest to be at the next one. - Dave
