Is anyone selling some big shad in the N. Dallas/Garland/Plano area ?

I am looking to make my son out to Lavon and try to catch some nice blues, but am in need of some good bait.

Fisherman's Supply in Garland may have some fresh shad.

This weekend is that tourney(i believe) would be cool too take him out to the weigh in after a day of fishing.....at Lavon btw

I have talked with Cary and Larry and I'm on the lookout for big fresh shad as well. Plan to go out to WRC on Thursday and take a stab at it but sure like to know for sure if there's cutters available anywhere. If anyone has or knows where to get some fresh bait would sure appreciate it. I'll post if WRC is any good but it ain't sounding good.

May have some bait will let you know. I have a special spot. Will see what happens. WRC has had nothing. Not sure what size.

It might smell like shad but if you buy it down there you can get in trouble.

I have never paid for shad, catch my own. What would you pay for say 12" to 14" live shad?

They sell everything on hines if you have the money

You can give somebody shad and if they wanta give you a little tip for being a good guy that's up to them

Just something to consider....shad isn't the only good bait. We caught 30 blues on Twok Saturday and most were caught on perch. Perch are easy to catch if you have a few hours and know the right pond to go to. Also can buy whole buffalo from Fiesta. That being said, anyone can feel free to pm me if they have some shad. I tip well.

Me too Frey. Fuel prices are high these days and I'm more than happy to reimburse fuel req'd for anyone going out and getting shad and I'd pay good money for styrofoam icechest said shad may be resting in. Oh and don't forget the ice. That stuff's expensive too. PM if need me to dispose of any old icechest that may have shad in it. I'll gladly take it off your hands!!!
