anyone caught any frog fish lately...obviously its really early, but we have had a pretty mild winter.

Last time out last week, I already saw quite a few bank cruisers...small males.

I haven't had any topwater bite yet but blades and rattle baits are doing their job.

No I havnt had w good place to try. This time last year I was catching them on buzzbaits. I'll try next time I'm out.

Yep, small shallow water with lots of surface cover, mostly from cypress trees. Also, the Spro frogs are out of my price range so I just use the 2.99 Scum frogs and insert a 1/8 or 1/16 ounce bullet weight. It adds the perfect amount of weight for casting plus causes the frog to sit tail down in the water. Greatest benefit is when using a very gentle walk the dog retrieve, the frog basically stays in place.
