A sexy chart crank,Colorado blade spinnerbait and a darker colored worm. That is of course if its muddy. The lake where I'm at aren't muddy really just stained even if that so I'm throwing normal colors.

I would stay away from lakes with the spillway open, especially if the bass have florida genes.

Large spinnerbaits with colorado blades fished slowly around /through wood cover, if there is grass or flooded vegatation use a trap, maybe red or crawfish colored, if the weather stabilizes, dead stick a senko around edges of cover.

Look for cleaner water.

Why would you stay away from lakes with the spill ways open?

I fished at the 377 Pilot Point ramp today. Water is muddy. I got skunked. I threw dark colors and char. with no luck. The shad were breaking the water though

I went yesterday after the heavy rains we got. It was really difficult and didnt land anything.

The only action was 2 bites that I got but failed to hook.
The lure I used was a black spinner bait with Colorado blades.

Cant go wrong with a char skirted sppinnerbait WITH char blades. People underestimate the importnace of char BLADES in muddy water. Its all i use in those conditions and it works for me. Either that or a red crank or rattletrap. You wont something with noise and vibration.
