I plan on joining McKinney bass club. Any feedback out there? Any members out there on here? Talked with the president and it sounds like a great club. This will be my first bass club and my first tournaments. I'm very excited about it all. I look forward to learning a lot

Not a member, but I imagine it will be a great experience for you. Tournaments are a great way to find out if you can catch under pressure. have fun!

I can't wait. I think I have a lil more skill than some. I've been fishing for a while. My uncle has fished amateur Bassmaster so I've learned a lot from him. I'm hoping to fish a Bassmaster Open in 3-5 yrs. It might sound crazy but I'm planning to be a pro at some point. Wish me luck

Hope you have alot of time and money to invest in fishing. I'm looking for a bass club to join myself...let me know how you like the mckinney chapter. and really, good luck....being a pro fisherman would be the greatest job in the world.

I'm certainly not jaded. I know the work it takes. Bass fishing is really a science. Theres a lot of variables that come into play. It's not for everyone. I've always done it for fun. I think I know enough now to make a small living at it. And if I'm wrong........I have nothing to lose. I'll still be fishing regardless.

I guess if you fish as much as most of us do....why not try to make money doing it.

It's a good mix of guys that you will get to fish with. We have members with a different range of skills and backgrounds. Since we are a draw format you will be paired up with a different partner each month.

It is a great club! I was a member last year, but due to family & work scheduling I am unable to join this year. I love the format they use b/c it's a 5 fish per team instead of a 5 fish per angler. It takes a little stress off when you're having a bad day. The only piece of advice I can give you about the club is if you're a non-boater get to the meetings at least an hour early to sign up for the tourney. This will ensure you get on a boat for the tournament.

I'm a member. Good club. I've only been a member for about 2 years. I won't be fishing the Feb. 25th Fork tournament as I have a conflict.
