I will really start missing football next week. My Astros suk so my only chance to enjoy sports is when Tiger starts kicking arse next week.
Plus I'm more a college football fan than an NFL fan although I will always pull for the Texans and Cowboys

You want to see how much pro football dominates over the other sports just look at how people go crazy and make n almost holiday out of Super Bowl Sunday then look at how much more low key the other championships are. Two things get a ton of viewers. The NCAA football National Championship and the Super Bowl.

It really sucks that football is over, but I've started watching the English Premier League this year. It's a good, and I'm hooked. The match today between Chelsea and Manchester United was every bit as exciting as the Super Bowl. Give it a chance.

Football is still king. Supposedly close to 2 billion worldwide watch the Super Bowl.

Exactly why I love football. EVERY game means something. I can't get into a 80-162 game season where most of it is dull. I can't get into a best of 5 or 7 deal either. I love that it is all on the line in one game. Something appealing about that.

I am a football guy too.
Used to like basketball quite a bit since I played in HS but it has pretty much dulled in its appeal to me. Especially the thuggery of the NBA.
The draft will break the wait a little bit but right now I long for September.
