It was 73 degrees when we left Houston and 53 degrees with rain when we got to the launch. Cold, wet and windy but pretty much caught fish everywhere we tried. I heard that PACK (Kayak club) was going to Fayette but my buddy and I all ready had decided to take our boat. On the water by 5:30am and fished in the dark, wind and rain for about an hour. Caught one fish. Sun came up behind clouds and we found them on the bank a bit after sunrise. Crankin the 65 degree slightly stained water worked best but Texas rigged worms worked also. After the sun came out we found scattered fish on wind protected banks close to grass/coon tails/weeds. Flippin and Texas rigging worked but not much else.
We boated 24 bass and lost another half dozen at least.
Took a couple of pictures but doubt I'll post them any time soon as they look just like all the other bass we report out there. Ok here's one from the time before:

Only saw two yaks all day but who could blame them as that wind was howling.
