Finally got a chance to go Cattin, its been so hard to get on the water with the low levels. Late Feb. we filled up freezers and belly's also released a 34 lb Blue. Then Saturday we went back and filled up more freezers, belly's, and caught and released an all time Personal Best 58 lb Blue.

Sorry for the long reed but there is a lot to this story. First off in one of the pics you can see a jug with Lucky 50 on the bottom of it, that was a gift from the guy holding the jug for my 50Th b-day. Jim and his family including there dog colored and sign the jug for me, and yes it had 50' of line and 5 hooks. This trip was only the second time the jug got wet, so after setting out several jugs Friday night we meat at 7:15 Saturday morning to pick up the jugs. The guy to show up first after me gets out of his car and states I just had a very clear vision of us catching a 58 lb catfish, I wish I had it on tape but I swear that was his first statement and our best at that time was 43.5 lb. So the four of us start picking up jugs and are doing great on eater size fish but nothing bigger than 18 lb. We make it out to the deep jugs Jim passes up lucky 50 and goes to the last 4 deep jugs and says we will get him last on the way back to the boat ramp. Well what do you know on the 5th hook of Lucky 50 was a 58 lb blue cat, WOW what a story but all true and yes i have a certified 60 lb scale I need to get a bigger scale for our next personal best.

Feb 21st 34 lb Blue
