Thanks for the complements guys.
A couple years ago I was living in a crummy neighborhood where the neighbors played music at 2am a few times a week. I thought I was about to go crazy. I got down on my knees and asked for a place away from where I was. Being a little short of money to make the down payment on a house I had to put up my bass boat that I so dearly loved. Not a awesome huge 20' bass boat, but one I had a special attachment to.
I sold it, and almost immediately got the house of our dreams here by Ray Roberts lake. Now I had to scratch my head because of the irony. Here I was now blessed to live out in the peaceful country with the house of our dreams. I was even within 2miles of a beautiful lake. But I had no boat!!!! Whats up with that?
So I started looking for a cheap way to get on the water to fish. I do some research and see that people are fishing out of the little plastic boats called kayaks. I figure I could "make do" and fish out of one of them for a year or so until I could get to where I could afford a REAL boat.
Well today I realized I am in a REAL boat. I love my kayak and the abilities it gives me to fish in places my bass boat never did. I've made some great friends through kayak fishing in the last couple years that never would have happened if I didn't make the decisions that I did. I now have no intentions to buy a bass boat. But instead show people how to fish out of a kayak. Life just became a little bit more simple for me today.
