Best stuff to use to get boat looking good and gets small scuffs out?

Probably rubbing compound and a buffer. But if it is really bad google New Glass 2. It is almost like a liquid wet sand.

A product called Hand Glaze is the best that I have found. It has just enough stuff in it to get the scuffs off and waxes at the same time. I buy mine from Walter Piel in Odessa at Piel's Interprizes, on Mockenbird Lane. Walter has been in business for 40 years and that is the only thing I have known him to use after refinishing a boat.

When I bought my boat 2 years ago, it had bad bow stop marks/scuffs and a bad brown water line stain on the hull. I used Megulars #49 oxidation remover for the hull stain. For the cuff marks I first used a Magic Eraser, which only minimally worked.

For the more difficult scuffs I used acitone, and it worked great. Just be careful with it and test an area first.

After this, I use Bass Boat Saver religiously and new marks and water line marks wipe off easily.

For skuffs - start with a wax - if that don't work use a harder/cleaning wax and/or a rubbing compound - if that don't work and it's beyond the Gel Coat

Mcguires' has a 3 step Fiberglass restorer kit. 1. Oxidation remover 2. Polish 3. Wax. It's 3 different bottles, use that with a buffer. It made my Cat look great. Took me almost 2 days to do it right, but it' s clean as a pin now. Then I use Bassboatsaver after each trip

FSR (fiberglass stain remover) is the best I've used for getting stains out

Bass boat saver after every trip. The guys on bbc in the restoration forum use some 3M rubbing compound and high speed buffers to get scuffs out.

We have in stock a product called Collinite Cleaner 920. It is a great product with just enough grit to remove oxidation and small scratches. You follow it up with Collinite Wax 925 and it looks like new. The 920 is $9.90 and the 925 is $18.50.

red jewelers rouge and a medium speed buffer with a wool bonnet.

Bass Boat Saver will keep the marks off. The jewlers rouge buffed in will take out the serious oxidation. This is what truckers use on the fiberglass rigs.
