Went to Mustang Park on Benbrook Sat evening to Catfish....threw out some soured Milo to try and bring in Channel Cats in shallows at 1st boat ramp and it brought in a Bunch of carp but I only had cut shad and Stinkbait..........when the water was low ( 1 week ago ...lol) the whole area sprouted a bunch of grass , weeds, whathaveyou ...........

Think i'm gonna try it again but takes some corn and Boilies.......

That should work. Good old sweetcorn has done me well. Might also try bread balls.

I've been using a hair rig with bread balls and strawberry jello mix, just grab a half of a piece of white bread "no crust", sprinkle heavily with jello and pack it around a hook with a dab of water till it is firm. I've been catching as much cats as carp but that rod has kept me busy in between the big kitty runs.
Fishing flooded grass like you DCM, 2-3 ft deep. Been catching 3-4 carp maybe a buffalo or two per trip. Bout that time of the year to get the nephews on some big buffs

I believe his catfish gear will work just fine for carp. Mine does. Once Jonestown gets some water in it the Buff Fishing should be good. There are many places to catch carp and buff here.
