My F150 just wasn't making me happy anymore, it used a cubic buttload of gas when pulling and just didn't have the power I wanted so I broke down and bought me a Ram with a Hemi. Night and day difference in low end power. Coming from a diesel it's still not the same BUT it's better than the Ford which had to be revved to make power. So far I love it, no interior shots (It's dark and my camera sucks) but it's leather, bucket seats with a center console, a bunch of buttons that I'm not sure what they do, and comfortable. I've got to go check Longview Driveshaft and 4x4 and see what a 4" lift is going to run me and then figure out how to get a camera in for my hitch. After having a backup camera on my Ford, I'll never be without one again.

Ignore my Dad's hand, he is very animated when he talks and he came down to check it out and kept walking in front of me lol.

Dodge sells a kit for many of their trucks and cars that allows you to install a backup camera onto it I'd check out them for theirs depending on which radio you have in the dash it may show up on the screen on the radio if done with the mopar kit. I don't know about an aftermarket kit.

I'm researching it now, thanks for the tip. Doesn't look like it's brutally expensive either.

good looking truck!

my buddy just bought one at its probably the nicest half ton i've ever seen....hate to say it but i like it better than any ford half ton on the market today.

Word of warnign though, they don't have leaf springs in the rear, so don't put alot of weight in the bed.

a pallet of corn is downright dangerous

Thanks man. That no leaf thing kinda threw me. I think the yota is the same way too.

Oh well, I'll live I suppose. I can't remember the last time I've put much of anything in the bed of a truck, I use a trailer 95% of the time.

I love it, trade in one truck that gets bad mpg's for one that gets better... then the first thing you do is spend money jacking it up to pull your mpg's right back down to where they were... oh and if you put bigger tires with your lift and dont swap gears then be ready for the loss of power and bottom end feeling all over again. They are supposed to be nice pickups though, good luck.

Looks nice but I hate where they are all going with these big rims. I really like a little rubber between me and the road and especially the rocks on the deer lease.

Nice truck I just bought one myself. It says it's 200 bucks for the camera on the window sticker.

I used to worry about that but honestly unless you're rock crawling it doesn't matter. All of my 4x4's have had 20's since 2004 and I've yet to get a pinch flat. I spend a lot of time off road on pipelines and right of ways so they get put to use, I just don't go doing any rock crawling lol.

Toad, adding at as an afterthought from the dealer was ridiculously high so I'm going to order a "lockpick" and aftermarket camera and get out for about 1/4 of the price.

I agree with this. While I like thelook of smaller rim/with a bigger tire, I think it makes little difference. Trucks may come stock with larger rims now than they used to, but they also come with larger tires, so its a wash to me.

My '94 chevy came with 15 inch rims and lt 245's, my 11 came with 18 inch rims and lt 265's. I will probably switch the rims back to a 15 inch when I need new tires, just because I can pick up a set for cheap and it will make it easier and possibly cheaper to find a good tire. Not very many offerings in the 18" compared to 15's.

15 inch wheels aren't going to fit most likely. There is a reason modern trucks stop better than sports cars if the 80's and early 90's. The smallest you'll most likely be able to go will be 17's if I remember correctly on anything newer than 07.5 in a gm truck.

If you can't find a good selection, you're looking in the wrong places. There are as many 17-20 inch off-road tires as there are 15.

I got my new '12 Ram Longhorn just before thanksgiving, traded my '08 with 160,000 miles on it and loved that '08 but I have to say that my '12 made me forget the other one in about 100 miles. Ride, handling, quiet....no comparison. I already dread thinking about losing it in 3yrs. Mine has the camera too, first time to have one and it is sweet, no more in and out of the truck backing up, lining up to get to the hitch....once and done.

160k on an 08??? Wow man, I drive 20-25k a year but you just blew me out of the water. I built a Saudi prince a pool house, you built them the rest.

I agree on the quite and comfortable everything. I have averaged 14 mpg towing my boat as well which is epic for me.

When I was in college I once put 19K on my truck in 4 months. It was a combo of work and personal driving though.

I'm always going to have a truck payment, this one is the same as the last one, insurance is 30 bucks cheaper, I'm spending over 100 bucks a month less in gas and I have a warranty but in your view, I guess I spent 30k to save some gas smile .

If you drive it fast, it will suck it down like a dyson vacuum lol. I was going to the Tuesday night tournament in Athens earlier this week, my normal speed towing is around 60 and depending on terrain I get mid 13's to low 14's. I was running behind so I was steadily at around 70-72 and that thirsty pig was sucking down barely over 10. Still beats my F150 towing at 65 getting 8 and change.

No offense taken man, that's just the same "snarky" line I hear a lot of times when people want to comment that I "wasted money" on something. Shoot if you want to think about it, most of us waste a lot more than a truck payment chasing little green fish lol, I use my trucks a lot more than a boat and I need them to work when I get in them so warranty and decent fuel mileage are a necessity. Granted, 16-18 still isn't spectacular but it's a LOT better than what I was getting.

I just got finished with a little change to make it fit me better, +3 up front, +1 in the rear, went down to an 18" wheel with 35-12.50's on it. So far I've driven it about 250 miles like this, 40 of them with a 16' flatbottom boat and a 25horse Merc on the back and I managed 16.1 mpg. Not too bad, down a small amount from the 33's but I like the look a lot better.
