I found a crack in my lower unit housing. It runs from the edge near the prop forward towards the actual lower unit itself. No oil is missing from the lower unit.
I used the boat a couple of weeks ago at the coast and the damage must have happened on the last day we fished because the clean up was done in the dark and I think I would have seen this during the washdown.

Can the housing be repaired or am I going to need a whole new lower unit?

One opinion from a mechanic said it looked like strike damage due to no flex in the stainless prop....He said it didn't look like freeze damage and I'm not sure we've had a freeze since it was last in the water and flushed.

On Merc it's generally freeze damage from water sitting behind the prop with the motor tilted up . On suzuki I've seen it a number of times with no visable impact damage. It can be welded.

Suzuki 150...What do you think might be the cause if it's a non strike problem?

Just found this today about 2. Just trying to get some info so I know what I'm dealing with. Thanks for the replies.
