I am glad to see some water caught in most watersheds and am loooking forward to the lakes filling even more.

I fished Fayette with Ed McDuff of Friendswood and his frind Mike from Tomball on Wednesday. The bite was very lite. More hook sets missed than connected and the ones caught were hooked sometimes in the whisker. If you hook fish weighing 3-8.6# like we did, in the whisker, you are going to have several pull free, and we did.

The lake is full up with water right now.

They ended the day with 18 fish boated that produced three gallons of fillets.

Fish caught on CJ's Crawdad punch bait, under cork in 9-10 foot water.

On Friday I fished with my hunting buddy John Herridge of Chappell Hill, TX. Once again the bite was lite, and lots of fish missed. However we managed to connect with 40 cats that made it to the dip net. Largest went 9#. We were glad to see a few smaller fish, which small means 3# at Fayette.

Fish were caught in 7-12 foot water, under corks and on tight lines, using CJ's Crawdad punch bait.

Zee,Foggy most mornings last week, calm lake when the fog is there. I would rather have a little bit of wind than those flat surface days.
