There's got to be some chemist on this forum. I'm not wanting some meth heads advice. "Yeah dude, just try it. If you tell me it works, I'll try it. If you don't grin, I'll take it that it didn't work.

For those that use the gas treatment cocktail of Marine Stabil, Seafoam, and Quick Kleen for a Mercury. Can you mix this cocktail in advance without any reaction of the components (jelling up, changing their chemistry, etc.)basicly rendering it useless. And if you do premix, what would the shelf life of the pre-mix be. It is a PITA to have to fool with three bottles at the pump.

I don't see the point of the mix, seafoam does it all and with much less hassle.
read the can, its a stabilizer and we all know it cleans and keeps things clean, its all I use.

I test the fuel in south fort worth and I usually find between 6 and 6.5 percent ethanol. The shelf life changes with every tanker that fills the tank at the station. It all depends on the quality of the fuel, who makes the fuel and if the ethanol is corn ethanol or sugarcane ethanol.

Why do you not use the Seafoam? Seems everyone on here talks like it's the cat's meow.
