The hogs are starting to move up in the shallows to spawn at Canyon Lake, TX. Caught this 6 lb. beauty right after lunch Friday during a minor solumar fishing period. The fish was caught on a 6" black grape/chart tail Bass Pro Shops tournament series worm with 1/8 oz weight using 12 lb. mono. I was fishing in a cove near the dam on the south side of the lake in rather cool 53 degree water on a stair-step bank that went from 2-18 foot pretty fast. I believe the fish was hooked in between 6-8 foot of water.
