Headed to Palestine Sunday morning. Any tips on where to find the fish? I will be in a 22ft barge so I want to avoid the timber.

Pontoons work good under 155 bridge. Usually plenty of fish there. Good luck.

We got to the bridge today and there was not a single boat there. Graphed around the pylons for a while and never marked a single fish. Nothing like what it was a month ago.

I fished the 155 bridge 2 weeks ago and it was slow, only a few keepers. I was thinking of working up closer to the dam this time.

Try shallow, there is a reason the fish are not stacked at the bridge anymore. Good luck and watch were you go, with the lake rising much of the stumps are just under the surface.

I would bet shallow as well. These fish were caught January 31st, and February 1st.
Rubbed Raw Bloody Fins, mature egg sacks, eggs running out of the fish, dark color. Can you say early spawn! We caught 22 in 8-11 feet of water in brush. Water temp. was 53 degrees.
