Its not a band its what I did today. Never thought in a million years I would like sushi but I started eating it a few months ago and love it. Ate more than I should have today and went heavy on the wasabi. My sinuses are clear though.

You should try it fresh... On the boat type fresh!! I could live on it! Wasabi is some potent stuff! Next tuna trip, if I get a couple yellowfin, you'll have to meet me and take a flank of fresh tuna!

That's the only reason I want to go on one of those trips. I love sushi and want to try it super fresh. It'd be worth my raging seasickness every time I go deep sea fishing.

There is a good sushi place on western center and 35. Been there a couple of times, think it might be time for another trip there this weekend.

Can you make sushi out of bass, bream, crappie or catfish?

I need to tell you the story from a few years ago where me, RT, Bristow, & JT Evans stopped at a Chinese food joint in Amarillo. This after 6 hours of me drinking Crown on the drive up there. Needless to say, the wasabi afterglow was epic. I had no idea I was eating it like I was, and was smearing it on like peanut butter.

bad scene.....very bad scene

If you can find some dead carp by a boat ramp, it's much better than black bass.

My brother and I had a little too much Sake at Blue Fish one night and decided to have a Wasabi eating contest...who would eat the most in one in your mouth pile.

So my brother pics up a ball about the size of a nickle --- bam.

So big brother cant lose right....well I won, I picked up the entire pile and slammed it...and then I lost....good lord that was a sinus clearing experiment! I had to walk outside for about 10 minutes!

Idiot!!! hammer

sushi is raw meat from the sea (shrimp, tuna, eel, octopus, etc)

sashimi is every other raw meat

i will say, watch out for those all you can buffets that say they feature "sushi"...we used to eat at a certain establishment in the DFW metroplex that had "sushi" on the buffet. i never ate any of it, but their other food selections seemed decent. told a buddy about it and he's response was "that place is great! me and my family eat there for free all the time - just meet them around back with a cooler of fresh fish"...now mind you i never saw catfish, bass, perch, etc on the hot line - so they were slicing up the fish caught right around the corner, putting food color on it and calling it sushi. most people wouldn't know the difference unless you know how certain meats are supposed to taste naturally. never ate there again - if they were b.s'ing about the sushi, then who knows what else was going on...

Wrong.

Sushi is served over vinegared rice and may be cooked or raw. It may also contain vegetables.

Sashimi is raw meat, typically fish, served either by itself or over a garnish of some type.

Most places that say they are serving Wasabi do not serve it.

http://www.realwasabi.com/

They would charge for it if it was real Wasabi.
